Cookies, kept to a minimum.
No ad tech, no cross-site tracking. Just the small bit of storage needed to remember your privacy choice.
What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how the FilenQ website (filenq.app) uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. “Local storage” is a similar browser technology that lets a site remember small pieces of information. Both can be either strictly necessary (needed for the site to function or to honour your choices) or optional (for analytics, personalisation or advertising).
How FilenQ uses them
We keep this deliberately minimal. The FilenQ website does not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics that profile you. We do not sell your data.
The only thing we store on your device is a small record of your cookie/privacy choice, kept in your browser’s local storage so we do not ask you again on every visit. This is strictly necessary to honour your preference and does not require consent.
If we ever introduce optional analytics in the future, they will be disabled until you opt in through the consent banner, and this page will be updated to describe them.
Cookies & storage we use
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| filenq-consent | FilenQ (this site) | Remembers your cookie / privacy choice so you are not asked again. | Local storage | Until you clear it | Strictly necessary |
Managing your choices
You are always in control. You can update your choice at any time using the button below, which reopens the cookie banner.
You can also block or delete cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings. Because we only store your preference, clearing it simply means the banner will appear again on your next visit.
Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party trackers on this site, and there are currently no third-party cookies. If we add a payment provider for future paid licences, any cookies it sets during checkout would be controlled by that provider under its own policies — and this page would be updated to describe them.
Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control
Because we do not track you across sites or use advertising cookies, there is nothing for a “Do Not Track” (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal to opt you out of. We honour the spirit of these signals by collecting no such data in the first place.
Changes & contact
If our use of cookies changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. For questions about cookies or privacy, contact us at:
